Origin
Originating from military squad drill in Australia and New Zealand during the post-war 1950s, today's precision drill teams have grown beyond their origins in marching. Today's precision drill, exhibition march, march past, prop precision, and freestyle drilldance have evolved into spectacular routines that rival the best stage shows. This in addition to the traditional marching style culminates in to stunning examples of precision, uniformity, timing and formations. Each year teams from all over Australia come together for the Australian Championship which is held in a different state each year, this is truly and event to be seen.
